WHere is a simplified take on a beverage found on a new drinks list. It's a party-sized prepared mix which is loaded full of essence associated with holiday season, which makes it excellent for your holiday party. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup for brunch beverages, puddings, or to make another batch of the drink.

Serves 10 people
For the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Premix (yields 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
For the Citrus Syrup: Combine every components in a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve. Next, take off the burner and leave to cool completely. Decant into a clean bottle, cap it and store in the refrigerator, it will last for up to four weeks.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Mix the specified liquid ingredients into one big jug, leave to sit for one hour, then filter it preferably using cheesecloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.
For serving: Measure 85ml from the cocktail base into your mixing glass filled with ice, gently stirring lightly for one minute until cold. Strain into a cold coupe glass or equivalent, garnish with a few cranberries and complete it with a brief mist with the mandarin essence over the drink.
